Turns out people want science explained — not simplified.

Since 2019

Built during a PhD. Somehow still here.

2023–Present

Expanded into media features, education work, and science communication collaborations

My Story

From Lab Bench to Public Voice.

I started with a PhD studying what happens inside cells under stress, and ended up asking a bigger question: “what happens to science when nobody outside the lab can understand it?” The answer became my career.

The Foundation / Science + Law, by design

Graduated from UW–Madison with degrees in Molecular Biology and Legal Studies, because I always cared about what happens to science after the experiment: who funds it, who it reaches, and who it leaves out.

The Research / Four years, one big question

Completed my PhD at the University of Miami in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, researching the intersection of cancer biology and neurodegeneration, the kind of connection that rarely makes it out of the journal.

The System / From patents to policy

Worked as a patent law clerk at Arnold & Porter and served as a Washington Science Policy Fellow, a rare front-row seat to how science moves, or doesn't, through policy and law.

The Platform / Started in a lab, grew in public

Built Chloe the Scientist from scratch in 2019, starting as a passion project during my PhD and growing it into a 125K+ community, while learning in public how to make research impossible to ignore.

What This Space Is About

Science, in more than One Language.

Not all science shows up the same way. Some needs unpacking. Some needs questioning. Some needs to reach classrooms, policy rooms, and the communities research has historically talked about without ever talking to.

Science Communication

Breaking down ideas, challenging the culture around them, and making room for better conversations.
